Last year, Social Security benefits recipients were dealt a stunning blow: No cost of living adjustment for the first time since 1975. This year, the same thing is going to happen.

As if voters don’t have enough to be angry about this election year, the government is expected to announce this week that more than 58 million Social Security recipients will go through another year without an increase in their monthly benefits.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama and the Democrats make a last minute move (October-surprise) to get this reinstated this year. Angry senior citizens vote. Democrats will suffer the consequences. It’s not like there are many reasons to vote FOR democrats, and this is just another reason to vote AGAINST them.

The most ironic part of all this is that, for as long as I can remember, it was Democrats that accused Republicans every election of wanting to destroy Social Security. But look who it is who’s cutting the social security benefits.
